Another craft I made for a swap. I really like how this turned out! It was fun to make. I used an image (the cow) torn from a chocolate bar wrapper. The rest of the papers were from cardstock or old cards. And I rubber-stamped the text.

Postage Stamp ATCs
I made these two ATCs for a swap. The theme was used postage stamps. I used a couple of non-profit stamps. I get alot of those in the mail!
They are not my best. I just could not think of anything else to do with them!

Above The Crowd ATC
This is another swap item I made. I'm not really happy with it, but here it is.
The main image came from a Trader Joe's flyer. They always have cute drawings in them, with a vintage look.
The theme for the swap was Year of the Horse and had to have a horse image.
For some reason when I saw it all I could think of was 'Above the Maddening Crowd' which I know is not the real quote! It's very paraphrased from 'Far From the Madding Crowd' by Thomas Gray's poem
Anyway, horses take us above the crowd!

- Far From the madding crowd's ignoble strife
- Their sober wishes never learn'd to stray;
- Along the cool sequester'd vale of life
- They kept the noiseless tenor of their way.
Anyway, horses take us above the crowd!

I Love Tea Postcard
As with a lot of things I post here, I made this postcard for a swap. Tea/Coffee was the theme. I don't drink coffee, but I love tea!
The tag is from Numi Chocolate Pu-erh, one of my favorite teas!

Silver & Gold ATC
I created a new ATC this afternoon for another swap. This swap was a bit of a treasure hunt and you had to choose 4 from a list of items to make the card.
I chose something red, textured paper, rubber-stamped image and something silver.

Vintage Pastel Button Fairy
I made this cute little button fairy for a swap. I'd never made one before, so I had to do a search to see just what they were! Very easy to make with a little jewelry wire, some vintage buttons (I used shell buttons) some wings and a face. It was fun to make and I will definitely make more of these in the future!

I'm Baroque Postcard
I made this postcard for a swap. The theme was junk mail. I used an image from a catalog and a couple of advertising postcards. The letters were also cut out of the catalog. It was fun!

Mail Art Postcard
This postcard is for another swap. I love doing those because they kind of challenge me and give me ideas on other things to make! This one is going to Washington.
I think I need to get one of those cheap little battery-run fans from the dollar store to help me get the glue to dry more quickly! The glitter glue took quite a while to dry!
Oh! I just won one on Listia!!
I just won this for free, PERSONAL FAN http://www.listia.com/rhl9cg/174106

Do Not Disturb ATC
I had some extra images that were similar to the Do Not Disturb postcard I made a few weeks ago, so decided to make an ATC version. I am auctioning this one on Listia:

Grocery Box Postcard
I've joined quite a few swaps on swap-bot recently for trading handmade postcards.
This one is to use part of a box or carton, such as a cereal box, etc. I don't eat processed faux food, but there are some real foods that come in containers of some sort. So, I adapted the little cardboard 'wraps' that go around the tubs from cream cheese, etc. I think they worked quite well. I mounted them on thin posterboard with Scotch Permanent Glue Stick and coated the front and edges with one thin coat of Plaid Royal Coat Découpage Finish.
This one is going to The Netherlands. My scanner cut the right edge off the image - both sides match, so it should look like the left edge with the cow's head and the text intact. It is 3 pieces of the package cut to fit the 4x6 inch postcard.
This one is going to Canada. This one was a little tricky as the 'box' was so small, but it worked out with a couple of little extra pieces to fill in the slot where the plastic lid came through (bottom left, above the Meyenberg name.)
I have several more postcard swaps coming up in the future. But, tomorrow I will be making several sets of beaded hat pins. I've made a few of these in the past year & they are kind of fun to do. I try to make them look a bit vintage, so we'll see if I succeed again. I'll share my results here tomorrow night.
